CURRENT FIRE SAFETY ISSUES

          MAIN PROVISIONS

1. The editorial policy of the online scientific journal Current Fire Safety Issues of FGBU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia (hereafter-the journal) is based on the meeting the modern legal requirements concerning copyright and the allied rights stated in the legislation of the Russian Federation as well as on ethical principles supported by the community of leading publishers of scientific journals.

2. The mission of the journal is to create a scientific and information space reflecting the research state of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of fire safety.

3. The purposes of the journal are to develop international interaction in the considered area, to promote interdisciplinary research at the current world level as well as to expand the possibility of knowledge and professional experience exchange between researchers.

4. The main objective of the journal is to distribute the information about scientific studies in the field of fire safety both over the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad.

5. The subject-matter of the journal includes data on the achievements in science and technology, best practice in the field of fire safety both in the Russian Federation and in foreign countries as well as fire statistics and other information.

II. THE PRINCIPLES OF EDITORIAL POLICY

6. One of the main elements of the journal editorial policy is a thorough independent review of the articles published in the journal.

7. The journal creates its own reviewers database in all thematic areas. The reviewers must keep confidential, objective and impartial.

8. The manuscript may be rejected by the Editorial Board before reviewing if there is an objective reason for it (e.g. the subject of the article does not correspond to the subject of the journal; the article is of low scientific level or the article was previously published in other edition).

9. The Editorial Board does not enter into discussion with the authors of rejected papers.

10. All manuscripts are considered at the Editorial Board meeting where at least two reviewers from the most competent authorities in the field of paper subject are appointed at. Editorial Board Members must keep the names of the reviewers secret from the authors and vice versa.

11. All manuscripts received by the editorial office are subject to mandatory verification with the “Antiplagiat” system. The allowable volume of borrowing is no more than 30 % of the total paper volume.

If there are reasons for a more detailed verification, additional means can be used for borrowing search.

In case of reasonable suspicions for plagiarism or detection of technical means usage to hide its presence, the articles are not accepted for further consideration. The authors are sent a message about the refusal.

12. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the citations, titles of documents and information given in the articles. The information in articles reflects the authors’ personal point of view which may be differ from the editors’ one.

13. Accepted for publication articles undergo the necessary editorial preparation.

14. The Editorial Board guarantees high quality of published papers and their substantial integrity.

III. AUTHORSHIP AND COPYRIGHT

15. Authors who submit articles to the journal must comply with the following principles:

– originality of research;

– submission of reliable data concerning research results;

– inadmissibility of personal or disparaging remarks and accusations against other researchers;

– complete exception of plagiarism;

– inclusion in the number of co-authors of all participants who have made a significant contribution to the research and writing the article.

16. Copyright for the paper belongs to its authors for an unlimited period of time (the author has exclusive rights).

17. The authors transfer the serial rights to the journal publisher only on the basis of the license agreement. Based on the license agreement received from the author, the publisher publishes all articles on the website in open access.

IV. PAYMENT FOR PUBLICATIONS AND INFORMATION AVAILABILITY

18. Authors are not charged for the editorial preparation of papers. Reviewing is not paid. The author’s fee for the publication of articles is not provided. Typescripts are not returned.

19. The online scientific journal is an issue of open access. When using materials from the journal it is obligatory to refer to the journal (indicating authors’ names and article title).
