This article presents an analysis of the risk of accidents at the diesel fuel hydrotreating process plant of the LK-6U primary oil refining complex. The probability of accident scenarios was modeled using a «bow-tie» diagram that combines fault trees and event trees. The main causes of accidents and their consequences are assessed, and measures to effectively reduce their frequency and possible consequences using an emergency and fire protection system are proposed. The results of the study showed the possibility of significant reduction of fire risk level with the introduction of modern technical solutions and automatic control system.

The article presents the results of an experimental study of leakage currents that occur during the operation of automatic foam extinguishing systems (AUPT). The purpose of the work was to evaluate the possibility of safe use of AUPT for extinguishing electrical equipment under 36 kV AC voltage. The developed experimental setup and measurement procedure are described, and the values of leakage currents for various types of AUPT are obtained. It is concluded that the AUPT can be used to extinguish electrical equipment under voltage, subject to certain conditions regarding the intensity of the fire extinguishing agent supply.

The possibility of solving the problem of optimal choice of evacuation exits along one or both sides of curved corridors, both sides of which are parts of an ellipse, is considered for further minimizing the human flows mixing (and, accordingly, preventing congestion during movement of people) during evacuation in a fire or other emergency situations. An algorithm for determining the optimal distribution of outputs for wide corridors is presented.
