Rules for preparation
and publication of articles
In connection with introduction of the part fourth of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (article VII “The Rights to results of intellectual activities and individualization means”) the submitted to the journal articles should be accompanied by the License Agreement on transfer of non-exclusive copyrights to FGBU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia.
The article matters submitted for publication in online scientific journal “Current Fire Safety Issues” should be stated in the following sequence:
– Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) number;
– Author’s first name, patronymic (completely), surname, degrees, position – in nominative case –in Russian and English (the number of authors should be not more than four);
– Title of article – in Russian and English;
– Abstracts with capacity of 100-250 words – in Russian and English;
– Keywords – in Russian and English;
– Article text;
– References;
– Figure captions.
At the beginning of the article it is expedient to describe briefly the state of the problem, the place of the issue in it, and at the end of the paper it is desirable to give conclusions about scientific novelty and practical utility of the printed material.
The article should not exceed 10 pages of typescript including illustrations, tables and references. The text should be typed with 1.5 line spacing (font Times New Roman, size 12) on one side of A4 standard sheet.
Abbreviations and conventional signs of physical quantities should be according to the
GOST 8.417-2002 “GSI. Unit of quantities”. Formulae should be typed in the equation editor. Letterings used in the formulae should be decrypted in the text following the formulae in the citation sequence specifying units of measurements.
Figures should be made in the graphics editor and presented as separate files:
– vector graphs with the extension *.eps;
– bitmap graphs with the extension *.jpg; *.tif.
Figures should be clear; the colors of graphs should be contrasting.
References should be presented in the form of the list and arranged in the order of citations in the text. When making endnote references in the article all authors should be specified even if they are more than three. This is a departure from the requirements of GOST R 7.05-2008 but it is allowed to increase the citation index of the authors.
The article should be given in two versions:
1) in an editable format in Microsoft Word;
2) in a non-editable format with the extension *.pdf with the author’s signature (authors’ signatures).
The phone number, e-mail, fax and address should be specified at the end of the paper.
In the absence of these data, the paper cannot be accepted for consideration.
The article should be accompanied by the following papers:
– scanned expert opinion with the Expert Committee members’ signatures as well as the stamp of the organization (author’s certificate) indicating the absence of information in the text constituting a state or official secret in accordance with the normative legal acts of the Russian Federation;
– certificate on the verification of the manuscript for originality (originality certificate) as well as a conclusion generated by special software. The allowable volume of borrowing from other publications is no more than 30 % of the total article.
The authors are not charged for the editorial preparation of the article and its reviewing. The author’s fee for the article publication is not provided.
Refused articles are not returned to authors.
The articles of authors from outside organizations are considered as received only after their reviewing and receiving a positive response.
