DEPENDENCE OF INDICES OF ECONOMIC DAMAGE FROM FIRES ON FIRE DISTANCE

There are investigated the indices of economic damage from fires for groups of rural settlements of the Russian Federation for the period 2019–2021 that are located at different distances from fire division locations. It is shown that with an increase in distance, the ratio of the cost of salvage to the amount of direct material damage and the cost of salvage decreases. And it is also shown that the amount of direct damage from fires per one fire increases.

There is carried out the comparative analysis of the fire and explosion hazard of liquefied and compressed gases that are currently used and are promising as fuels for compressed gas vehicles. There are investigated the conditions of frequent emergencies in compressed gas vehicles. The violation of rules for installation and operation of compressed gas equipment of vehicles is one of the main causes of fires.

The article discusses the issues concerning usage of restored manual fire nozzles for effective extinguishing of forest, grassland, ground and wildland fires. The relevance of the paper is due to the effective use of fire extinguishing agents, as well as the use of restored fire-technical equipment with minimal material investments. The article presents calculations demonstrating an increase in the tactical capabilities of the department with water tender.

The article discusses issues related to pilot operation of unmanned aircraft systems. This set of measures is not defined and not regulated by official documents such as state standards, government resolutions, orders, etc. This is the reason for the relevance of the presented paper which reveals the features of the organization and implementation of activities of EMERCOM of Russia aimed at improving the design, as well as technical, operational and repair characteristics of equipment, and also aimed at correction of operational documentation and investigation of new equipment.

There are described the tactics for extinguishing such fires, as well as the use of fire and municipal equipment, and application of various wetting chemicals. There are analyzed the mistakes leading to resumption of peat smoldering.
