Field of research
Research of specific features of various materials and structures in fire conditions. Elaboration of complex technical solutions for fire safety of buildings and structures of various functional purposes. Improvement of methodology for assessment of fire hazard of building materials, fire hazard and fire resistance of building structures, as well as effectiveness of fire retardants. Development of flame retardants and fire extinguishers, as well as multifunctional flame retardants for various polymer materials. Creation of efficient chemical technologies in the field of fire, industrial and ecological safety.
He is the author of more than 350 scientific and educational works, as well as patents on the invention.

He is the member of the Council for Doctoral Thesis Defense on speciality 2.10.1 "Fire Safety" at State Fire Academy of EMERCOM of Russia, member of the Council for Doctoral Thesis Defense on speciality 2.1.15 "Safety of Construction Facilities" at the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, member of the Council for Doctoral Thesis Defense on speciality 2.10.1 "Fire Safety" at the D.I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology, member of the Expert Council on construction and architecture of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the International Conference of Young Scientists "Life Safety Assurance: Natural Fires and Fire Fighting" on the basis of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, member of editorial boards of scientific journals "Science and Education in Civil Protection" and "Bulletin of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov".
